The Convention was inaugurated by the chief guest, Hon'ble Vice President of India, Shri Venkaiah Naidu. He gave a very captivating inaugural address covering Quality Circles and the need of the hour of citizens in the present socio-economic situation of India. The speech was listened with rapt attention by the audience and was appreciated by one and all.
Hon'ble Vice President of India, Sri, M. Venkaiah Naidu motivated the workforce with his address and said that quality concepts trigger the creative potential of individuals with full understanding and command over the work environment. He emphasized that working together will provide synergy to the individual results and this will in turn help organizations to improve customer satisfaction. He desired that this concept should be introduced in school level education also.

Sri, P. S. Rama Mohan Rao, former Governor of Tamil Nadu State, who was founder chairman of Hyderabad chapter was felicitated on this occasion by the Vice President. In his speech, Sri. Rama Mohan Rao, very lucidly traced the origin of Quality Circles in Japan in the 1960s and how it had helped Japan to become a world leader in turning out quality products and services. He urged the Vice President to see how this concept can be introduced in our schools and colleges for the benefit of posterity and for long lasting results.
Honorable Vice President gave away the awards for the following nine Organizations who had contributed to the Quality movement- M/s BHEL, NMDC, TSRTC, BEL, The Ramco Cements, Mahindra and Mahindra, Thermo Cables, Thermo Pads & Usha International Limited.
Sri. Ch.Balakrishna Rao, Chairman, QCFI Hyderabad Chapter in his welcome address emphasized the empowerment of employees to create participative culture, sense of belonging to enhance Quality, Productivity, Safety and Customer satisfaction. The case studies being presented during the convention had saved crores of rupees to their respective industries and the nation.

The Valedictory Session was chaired by Hon'ble Justice Sri. Amarnath Goud, Telangana High Court and Hon'ble Minister Sri. Koppula Eshwar Minister of All Welfare Departments, graced the occasion and gave away the prizes.
The practical nitty-gritties of the convention were well taken care by Sri.D.K.Bhattacharya, Mrs. C.Jayalakshmi, Sri. M.S. Narender, Sri. K.R.S.Reddy, Sri. N.V.Subbarao and a team of volunteers.
